Hey Folks,
I recently bought SD3 for my studio MAC. I used an Internet connected “PC” to register and download the MAC SD3 software.
I then moved the files to the MAC with ext-USB-drive.
When i start software it asks that I authorize the software by providing an “authorization file”.
I go back the the PC and try to authorize and it complains that I have not installed the software (on this PC)
I think this was easier before the mandatory Product Manager that is attached to SD3.
I really want to get started and do not want to have to wait until Monday to get a reply to support email.
Has anyone seen this issue and found a solution?
Thanks for any assistance.
Michael
On your new Mac;
Start standalone SD3 (like you’ve done)
Select “Offline Authorization” upper right (I think you’ve done that)
From the offline authorization screen; write down the computer ID.
On an internet connected computer;
Start your browser and go to; https://www.toontrack.com/my-products/
If you get a screen asking you to download PM, scroll to the bottom and select “No Thanks Use Web Version”
Scroll to your product; “Superior Drummer 3”and select; Details; Authorizations
Select; Authorize Computer
Type in the computer ID from the offline authorization panel
Give the computer some memorable name.
Enter and download the file.
Goto your Downloads folder/directory and copy; Superior_Drummer_3.ttauth to a USB drive
On your new Mac
Plug the USB drive into your Mac
Go back to standalone SD3 and the offline authorization panel
And where it says to provide authorization file; click the button and navigate to your USB drive/folder and select it.
You should be good after that.

Hi I also have this problem in my version of SD3 you can only enter the authorization code by typing it. There is no option letting me locate and open the ttauth-file. Any one else with this issue?
