If Huggy Bear decided to spend his days in the studio banging out tracks, this would be the bad mofos first port of call. Jab O Starks and Clyde Stubblefield are some of the worlds most sampled drummers, and in something of a coup, Toontrack have worked with the men themselves to produce this bumper-pack of percussive funk hijinks. And its uses are more diverse than youd think – hip hop producers wanting a more natural vibe, house heads looking to tap into warm, vintage sounds or even leftfield thinkers inspired by the likes of Supermayers use of real drums will have a lot to be excited about here. The package has its own fairly uncomplicated interface which is easy to get accustomed to, compatible across the board, this is funkin marvelous. Shaft!
