I too agree with you.
A producer friend of mine has the existing Latin pack which in our opinion is masterfully executed but….quite often than not he has to tweak it quite a bit to adapt the nuances and feel of an afro-cuban rythm section arrangement in order to achieve the desire results.
What we specifically need is a Latin MIDI pack that reflects the true roots of the Afro-Cuban spirit and rythms.
I know of many musicians, songwriters and producers that would benefit and buy this midi pack and are eagerly awaiting for ToonTrack to offers us.

Totally agree!!! cannot find any bachata rhytms and the soundcloud example listing “merengue” on latin midi keys has nothing to do with merengue it is salsa montunos (which in itself is ok)
I couldn’t agree more with these posts. There is a whole world of Latin rhythms out there (pun intended). Having worked in Latin bands for the last 20 years, I can tell you there are enough various styles/regions to fill at least 3 MIDI packs of beats – many already mentioned here. Afro-Cuban and Brazilian styles alone have a vast array of styles and tempo based rhythms. And having really well executed drum kit-based rhythms in these styles would be so darn useful.
And I need to emphasize drum kit-based. While most of the Latin American rhythms were traditionally played with each musician on a particular percussive instrument, drum kit-based versions of practically every single Latin rhythm have been well established and utilized. A Latin rhythm MIDI pack or even a series of packs is sorely missing and needed!
Yes please. It Needs realy a special drumset with timbales and drumset like the pro plays it. Then a midi pack how the cubans and other profesionals around the world how they play in the year 2019. Stiles i need salsa, cumbia, guaracha, guaganco, mozambique, makuta, chachacha, guajira, merengue, merengueson, timba cubano and all this.
ive you do this (please not the old way they playd this music, for this its no need) you will sale a lot.
