The correct file name is "EZdrummer.dll", even though it is EZD2.
It is where you have set the path during the installation process.
Do you have a VST folder?
Maybe you have installed the stand-alone version only?
If you still cannot find it, now that you know the correct file name, you better re-install and take care of the settings then.

hy!! thanks for your response...

i correctly set the path during the installation process and the file figures well in the steinberg ( i use live 9) vst folder...

but my trouble is that when i open a live 9 session, the ezdrummer vst plug in don't figure in the vst bank, the bank where figures guitar rig and other stuff...

i really don"t unerstand what happend...i think the installation did well!! dou you think it will be possible that the plug in could not be reconnized because i use a 64bit windows7 version? my verion of live 9 is 32 bits...i installed a 64 bits ezdrummer version

excuse me if i'm not more specific, i'm french!

thank you for advance..

There are both 32-bit and 64-bit EZdrummer installers. If your host is 32-bit, please install the 32-bit EZdrummer version.

Well then I don't understand then. You said this:

'my verion of live 9 is 32 bits…i installed a 64 bits ezdrummer version'

But then said:

'my host is 64b and i installed the 64b ezdrummer version..'

I believe in context of this thread, host = audio software (Live 9). In order for Live 9 to 'see' EZDrummer you would need to install the 32bit version. Although the OS (Windows) is 64bit, the audio software can only 'host' 32bit plugins. Installing 32bit EZDrummer should solve your problem. Let us know how you get along.

ProTools 12.x Studio One Pro V3.x Antelope Audio Zen Studio, Faderport & Faderport 8, Equator D5, DynAudio BM5A Yamaha DTXIII Hybrid, Kemper Profiler (Rack), Black Lion Sparrow (Red) A/D, iMac 32GB, i7 4Ghz, 1TB Flash internal.

Yes, host is audio software. OS is operating system (window 7/8 or other).

If your host (Live, Cubase, pro Tools, Sonar, Reaper, et al) is 32-bit, you need to install and make sure the host's plugin path is set to that 32-bit plugin.

Same for using a 64-bit host. Make sure you are using the 64-bit version.

I may have similar problem so I am adding here, if it needs to be a different topic I apologize.

I am running Windows 7 64bit SP1, had Pro Tools Express working with my EZDrummer and SD2.0. Will upgrade to EZD 2 when working. I changed DAW when I got a Presonus US1800 for my acoustic kit mic's to Cubase 5LE and have upgrade to Cubase 7 but not installed it yet. With Cubase 5 LE I lost sound to monitor or hear my Yamaha DTXpress IV ekit. I can hear drums in EZDrummer from PC but can't trigger the EZDrummer from my Yamaha DTXpress IV. I play through an M Audio Fast Track Pro still. I may have the same issues as above.

What would you have me check in my installations of EZDrummer, SD2 to verify version installed? I may have the path as (86), so this may be my problem? Where in Cubase would I verify which bit I am running? Help, About tab maybe? Thanks

@pgapro:

the version number is displayed in the plugin interface. Check that and report back, both in Standalone and in Cubase.

John, It was a bit issue of Cubase LE 5 is 32 bit and I was trying to use 64 bit VST Plugins. When I went to old laptop(32bit) it all still worked with Pro Tools Express. I am upgrading to Cubase 7.7 Artist at 64bit and will install all my toontrack plugins at 64 bit as well. Thanks

I've had similar issues since upgrading to EZdrummer 2, Win7 64bit, Cubase 7.5 64bit and EZdrummer 2 64bit. The only way I could get EZ2 to work inside Cubase was to reinstall EZ2 as 32bit. From this thread I'm a little unclear as to whether we should see an EZ2 64bit VST plugin, can you clarify please?

Thanks

I used the path Programs/VSTPlugins/Toontrack and 64 bit works fine with MY SD 2 and EZD (I haven't upgraded yet to EZD2). Try that path.
