I’m working with the most recent version of Toontrack solo hosting the most recent version of sd2. I’m using a laptop hp pavillon dv6 (yes it’s old) and the dm8 pro kit is connected to the laptop with a usb cable into the usb 2.0 port. Now in toontrack solo I have selected e-drums as controller, but when I play the dm8 nothing is being triggered in sd2 (hosted by toontrack solo). On the other hand if I use reaper to host SD2, no problem using the dm8 drum kit. I don’t want to use reaper though as I want to use the very minimum system power.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
do you wait a minute or two before you start Toontrack solo, after you have connected the DM8 Pro USB cable?

Yes I do. No matter how long I wait, the edrums is never recognized by toontrak solo.
The DM8 Pro is class-compliant, right? There are no drivers that needs to be updated for your version of Windows?

It is class compliant which makes it even weirder that solo would not pick it up.
Can you post a pic of your MIDI Device menu in Solo? Is the DM8 not even listed?

Hi,
could you please assist with the following in troubleshooting?
If you download the demo for EZkeys or EZdrummer 2 and launch the standalone, is your DM8 Pro MIDI interface listed there?
