    Hi,

that doesn’t sound right. If you accidentally assign an articulation to a note that already has an assignment, the former would break. Stacking just adds articulations to the same triggered note. A MIDI-Node wouldn’t act that way either; having two different incoming notes trigger the same note.
It sounds like something is fishy hardware-wise or you have something Input transforming your incoming MIDI.
Are you using Toontrack solo or a DAW? If Toontrack solo, are you just loading the Roland E-drums MIDI Mapping? The setting of the MIDI Controller type in the Toontrack solo menu is only for EZdrummer 1 users.

Hi John! Thanks for your response!
I use SD in both solo and with Ableton, and I have the same problem with both formats. I’m beginning to think it’s a driver compatibility issue…? Strange things are happening…I do understand about not using the midi controller type–I just use the MIDI presets. But when I open SD, and choose Roland e-drums, the mapping will change…like it’s different then it was the last time I opened it. For a while (2 or 3 days) it recognized that I had an Auxiliary slaved as a HH, and when I hit that pad, it triggered the HH. So, both the HH and the slave triggered the same instrument. But now, it won’t. I don’t know why. I did upgrade the driver for the TD-30 module. As of right now, it’s not doubling anything…so it doesn’t recognize my second HH, but it doesn’t seem to be causing the same issues with the ride and aux either. If I can ask, how can I save my settings and mappings? I have tried every obvious way to “save” things, and yet when I pull them up, they are not the same. Are the save settings for mapping associated in any way with the save settings for projects? Should the two be, or are they coordinated in some way? The software is so deep, I’m worried I’m missing something. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to re-setup, so it’s not the end of the world. If none of this sounds normal, perhaps it is a hardware issue…

    Thanks for your time.

Edit; I’m coming to realize that settings on the module that apparently apply to it’s own sound engine….actually modify midi output also….which affects SD.

Your last note there indicates you’re on to the actual problem.

Saving a Project file saves the entire state of the plugin, saving a Combined Preset can save everything within the currently loaded Library, i.e. a Combined Preset based on Avatar will not show up in the Combined User Preset list if you have e.g. Indiependent loaded.
Most likely, a User MIDI Preset (on the Mapping page) is what you want to save when all your kit pieces are triggering correctly and you want to be able to apply to whichever kit and library you have loaded.
