Hi Everyone and thanks in advance for helping. I am a guitar player just getting into home recording and miking drums was not working to well in my environment so I was recommend electronic drums triggering Superior Drummer. I am brand new to Midi fyi.
Equipment is as follows:
Roland TD8 Vdrums
Midi interface Motu 8Pre
ProTools 11
iMac
Everything works i.e. triggers properly but when I have toon track solo or the pro tools instrument plugin open and hit a drum pad the volume is a fraction of what it is when I click on a drum in the window on the computer screen.
Is there a setting I need to change in Superior Drummer or os it a setting on the Pre8 or possibly the TD-8 Brain?
Thanks again for any help.
Anthony
Hi,
when you click drums in the plugin interface, it equals a full velocity (127) hit, i.e. the hardest possible.
You can both change the dynamic response in the module and in the plugin.
My guess is a combination of both will be just right.
Please read the manual for the TD-8 to see how you adjust the response in the module and please see Chapter 3.6 Velocity Controls in the Superior 2 Manual.
