    Ok,

so they have their own MIDI Mapping?
To quickly get started, I suggest you load the included MIDI Presets one at a time and see which works best (at least the HH) and then re-map the notes that doesn’t match in your module.
In EZdrummer 2 you can’t create your own MIDI Presets, like you can in Superior 2.

When searching across the net for answers to this problem in forum after forum I see the same issue. Like many others I have watched the video on youtube about mapping and learn functions as well as trying to work through it one setting at a time. My question is this, as many of us want to use your product and this is a common problem why doesn’t Toontrack just make a midi map for 2Box in the software and solve the problem across the board?

    Well,

I’m not in any kind of position (just a tech advisor) to decide what’s possible or not but my guess would simply be that there are too few users so far that need one.
Someone would need to provide a correct MIDI mapping, for starters.

Hey man I’m about to embark on triggering sd2 with my 2box. Have you found a solution for midi mapping? I imagine I’ll need to manually assign the pads the midi notes in the module that correspond to the assigned notes in the software, essentially mapping it manually?

I’m having some trouble to configure the midi map for my 2box in SD2.0 mainly for hithat and cymbal choke.
Anyone has advise on how to configure the 2box module and SD2.0 ?
if toontrack can create a midi map for 2box, that would be great.

Any luck with mapping 2box in sd2.0? Having trouble mapping hihat and crash choke

2box hihat sucks, you will never get a decent response out of it, sad but true…

If you run SD2 or EZd2 in a DAW, you can run this VST plugin -> NoteMapper

It allows you to select an incoming MIDI note and push it to SD2 or EZd2 as a modified note.  As mentioned, try to find a suitable config that works with the hihat and then just re-map whatever else you might need in NoteMapper.  For me, I needed this in EZd2 when I was running more pads with splitters off my toms and needed to push the rim notes to alternate notes.

Just make sure you route appropriately.  eDrum MIDI -> NoteMapper -> EZd2/SD2 -> Audio Out

One thing to keep in mind here – I did gain a couple of ms of latency when routing this way.  So it’s not perfect, but it does the job for most and did work fine until I upgraded to SD3 (which supports custom MIDI mapping out of the box).
