    Hi,

could you please fill us in with more details of what you are using?
    Plugin, host, library?
Have you made sure you are fully updated on all accounts? With the Product Manager?

    Hello,

    I’m using a Roland td-20 with sonar x3
I just downloaded superior drummer so it is the standard version and is up to date.
I was surprised the mapping didn’t take care of this issue

    Hi,

if you go to the Mapping page and load the ‘Roland’ E-drums MIDI Preset, it takes care of the mapping.
The Avatar Library was recorded so long ago it doesn’t have recorded Mute Tails for the Ride but go to the Construct page, right-click the Ride and Enable the Envelope.
Next set it to ‘Aftertouch’ and adjust the Release to taste, somewhere between 100ms-200ms, I guess.

    Hello,
Yes I used the mapping as you mentioned. That’s why I’m not understanding why I don’t have the zones working

What notes are sent from your TD-20? Are both cables from the Cymbal checked and working?
I have used the 3-way trigger Cymbal with my TD-12 and Superior 2 for ages.

With the exception of the ride, the crash symbols only use one cable. For for what notes are being sent., how do I determine that?

OK I got the ride to work. A few odd things though. If I use tootoontrack solo the cymbal choke works on all cymbals.. Once I open in sonar, it does not. As well my one cymbal, if I hit the edge, it plays the proper note, if I hit the bell area, it plays another cymbal.. Very odd

Check if there’s any Input Filter on the AfterTouch in Sonar. Also check if there’s any Input Transformer on. If you are using the same MIDI Preset in the plugin in Toontrack solo and in Sonar, you shouldn’t be triggering different notes.
You don’t have the MIDI controller type set to E-drums in Toontrack solo, have you? That’s only for EZdrummer 1 users.
