    Hi,

did you download and apply the 2.4.3 plugin update?
If so, could you tell us more about your setup?
Which OS are you using? Are you using a DAW or loading Superior 2 in Toontrack solo?
Is your MIDI interface/Input selected in your DAW/Toontrack solo?
Is the Alesis E-drums MIDI Preset selected on the Mapping page in Superior 2?
If you click the drums in the plugin interface, do you get sound?

Hi thanks for trying to help, I am using Windows 7, I have to open sp2 through toontrack solo, ie I don’t seem to have sp2 as stand alone, when I go to sup2 in options I set audio to ASIO4ALL v2, I then set midi device to USB DM10 midi interface, still in options I set controller to edrums, I then go to mapping and set presets, midi, note mapping, e drums alesis, I do notice in settings sp2 beside NY avatar and below path it has a Red Cross, however memory and status indicates 580mb, I have noticed on toontrack solo where the two volume controls are that on the left hand control there is a drop down box with sup2 and midi device options and midi channel, the latter is set to omni but device gives me no options the sp2 as mentioned does let me set midi device to dm10, sp2 says at top v 2.4.3, the only update I didn’t download indicated for vista and xp only, the drums are sounding as normal on sp2 when I tap them and I can adjust everything as normal in mixing etc, thanks Dougie

Hi again, a good one for the forum I have now found the problem, I simply didn’t tick the box for dm10 midi interface, I simply didn’t see it and just pressed ok, either that or I’m just stupid haha, thanks for help anyway, by the way it sounds brilliant, however my next question is how to get the sound from sp2 and not the alesis module through my power amp for playing live, do I just take it from the headphone socket on the laptop or can the alesis module sounds be bypassed to let the sp2 sounds play, as it is taking lead from main out on alesis module is still playing alesis sounds, thanks, Dougie

AFAIK, you cannot use the DM-10 as a sound card/audio interface, so you would have to connect the laptop’s headphone jack to your amp.

    Hi John
Thanks for the help, one last one, I can’t seem to be able to put any reverb on the kits/drums nor can I use the manual to get info, do I have to wait on the delivery of the discs to do the reverb and search the manual, sounds a little “dry” for live work

    Hi,

there is no Reverb FX pre se in the Superior 2 mixer. You can use e.g. the ‘AMB Far’ fader for more room and if you only want more room on the Snare and Toms, you deselect the bleed for the Kick and Cymbals.

Hi John, a lot to learn I think but will get there, I used it tonight for first time at rehearsal and everyone super impressed without too much adjustment on it so can only imagine what it will be like with some effort, the tutorial videos are helpful but I’ve been an acoustic drummer for a long time so need to get used to all this technical stuff but looks like fun :)) thanks for your patience and support, Dougie
