Known issues with the current version of Toontrack solo

IMPORTANT: the current version is Toontrack solo 1.3.2

Known issues with version 1.3.2

– sound cards that are locked to a sample rate other than 44.1 may not be recognized


Version History

– version 1.3.2 or above is required for Mac 10.7 and Windows 7 compatibility
– version 1.3.0 or above is required for 64-bit operating systems / hosts support
– version 1.2.3 or above is required for Mac 10.6 compatibility
– version 1.2.2 was the last version tested against Mac OS 10.4
– version 1.2.0 or above is required for game controllers support
– version 1.1.0 or above is required for Mac 10.5 and Windows Vista compatibility


Version 1.3.2:

– drummer windows in solo 32-bit mode on Mac OS 10.7.x should no longer be cut off at the bottom
– the e-drum controller transform now supports positional sensing from the snare


Version 1.3.1:

– it is now possible to select or change a MIDI device in the 32-bit version on Mac (solo 1.3.0 issue)
– it is now possible to modify the Audio Output Channels configuration in the 32-bit version on Mac (solo 1.3.0 issue)
– plug-in paths containing non ASCII characters were not recognized
– solo project with file name or path to .tts file containing non ASCII characters on Mac OS X should no longer cause the project to fail to load
– when loading a project on Windows, Drummer windows were sometimes minimized even though they had opened when the project was saved
– in the Metronome Settings dialog, the Play drop-down menu entries have been renamed in a less confusing way
– in that same dialog drop-down menu, the options that are not relevant to the current time signature no longer appear
– the layout of the Metronome Settings dialog has been adjusted so that the sound names are fully visible on Mac
– the About dialog on Mac now has the same appearance in 32-bit mode as in 64-bit


Version 1.3.0:

– official support for Beatstation has been added
– improved support for ASIO4ALL on PC
– improved registry handling to make sure the latest versions of plugins are always in use
– improved key handling in drummer selection dialogs. Return now works as “OK”
– improved support for hi-end Yamaha and Roland modules via the E-Drums controller preset
– the “EZplayer missing” dialog has been revised to explain possible causes
– the “Failed to load drummer” messages now states the name of the drummer plugin that failed to load
– new icons for Solo project files (.tts)
– fixed a synchronization bug causing sound artefacts similar to when a too low buffer is used
– fixed a bug causing old registry path settings from old versions of SOLO not being saved
– mixer channel and master volume are now recalled properly from .tts files
– loaded saved files no longer extend beyond memory chunk
– when a project was opened, the project name was not always remembered (for the next save)
– “Run in Rosetta” option disabled (in Mac Intel info window)
– the EZPlayer pro window is no longer “resizable”
– the “EZplayer Channel…” menu item is now disabled when EZplayer hasn’t been started
– the Metronome menu item has been moved to options
– Toggle Metronome now has keyboard shortcuts
– bpm value is now displayed while typing even if the field is cleared first on PC
– various adjustments to headers and texts in some of the dialogs
– updated menu entries in respect to consistency, shortcuts, etc
– miscellaneous other minor graphical fixes and changes


Version 1.2.2:

– audio channels should no longer be inactive after a clean or first install
– solo should no longer fail to find EZplayer after clean or first install
– keyboard shortcuts for the file menu is now available on Mac


Version 1.2.1:

– added support for Mad Catz XBox Rockband drumkit on PC
– metronome should now work as expected on PC
– click sounds are correctly recalled/found regardless of the project location on PC
– default metronome settings are remembered
– fixed a bug when opening save files with incorrect paths on PC
– Open/Save/Save as/New combinations should remember the filename
– some minor graphical issues in the mixer have been fixed
